Senior Data Scientist

Minimum Years of Experience Required: 6+ Years

Salary range: $160,000 - $190,000 (for Senior/Experienced level)

Eligibility to Work: To be eligible for this role, applicants should be a Permanent Resident or have existing legal authorization to work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

About the Role: Join our team as an experienced Senior Data Scientist to extract valuable insights from complex datasets and apply advanced analytical and machine learning techniques to solve critical business problems within an AI tech company context. You will be responsible for the full data science lifecycle, from data collection and cleaning to model development, deployment, and interpretation. This role is for a seasoned professional with a strong analytical mindset, deep expertise in data science methodologies, and the ability to drive data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and formulate business problems that can be solved with data science and AI techniques.

  • Collect, clean, process, and explore large and complex datasets.

  • Design, develop, and implement data models, statistical analyses, and machine learning algorithms.

  • Build and evaluate predictive and prescriptive models to address business challenges.

  • Collaborate with engineering and ML teams to integrate data science models and solutions into production systems.

  • Communicate findings, insights, and the results of analyses and models to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively, using visualizations and clear explanations.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in data science and machine learning.

  • Contribute to the development of data pipelines and infrastructure for data science workflows.

  • Mentor junior data scientists and share knowledge within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in data science, statistical analysis, or machine learning.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and extensive experience with data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts, experimental design, and various machine learning algorithms.

  • Experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and feature engineering.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is often preferred for senior roles.

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research) is typically preferred for senior roles.

  • Proven ability to translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate technical results clearly.
