This position is closely related to the automated processes within the EMEA Modelling tools. Specifically, around the Milliman Mind tools, several scheduled daily processes are used to streamline user tasks, update projection models, and manipulate data. These processes rely on a complex infrastructure where a central JAVA application(ROBOT) plays a key role.


The apprentice will initially be responsible for daily monitoring of these automated processes and handling associated tasks such as user support and communication. Over time, the apprentice will work on improving these control processes. Additionally, the intern will be involved in the entire development cycle of new automation features, including specification, developer support, testing, and documentation.

  • Conduct daily monitoring of automated processes within the EMEA Modelling tools.
  • Provide user support and manage communication related to these automated processes.
  • Participate in the development cycle for new automation features.
  • Enhance monitoring processes (Python) by developing new features.
  • Occasionally assist Modelling actuaries with their daily tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Actuarial or data science background with a strong interest in IT-related topics and experience in Python/VBA development. Knowledge of Java, R, or SQL is an advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide user support,
    manage interactions, and collaborate effectively with team members. Proficiency in both English and French is required.
  • Problem-Solving and Independence: Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, develop solutions, and enhance existing processes through innovative approaches.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team setting, supporting colleagues such as Modelling actuaries, and participating in the development cycle of new features.
