The Role

This role drives exploration and experimentation of ML and Generative AI usage opportunities for multiple industries, working together with product, customer, and design roles. It leads the data science process towards valuable and scalable solution concepts while ensuring ethical, explainable, and safe AI development standards. The Senior Data Scientist drives innovation, builds reusable AI assets, and accelerates AI adoption across business units by bridging AI platform development with industry-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Explore AI and Generative AI use cases for multiple industry areas within a multi-disciplinary innovation team

• Develop scalable solution concepts that seamlessly integrate in existing software applications

• Build reusable generative AI components and frameworks for scaling use cases, like digital assistants or search.

• Collaborate with MLOps/LLMOps team to design zero touch deployment and operation pipelines and effective quality/feedback measurement loops.

• Act as mentor for the larger Data Science community

What We Expect

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML models,

• 3+ years of practical experience of building and scaling Generative AI systems.

• Strong expertise in NLP, transformers, large language models (LLMs), and deep learning.

• Proficiency with tools like Azure OpenAI or Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow.

Business data science capabilities

• Significant experience with use case experimentation and conceptualization

• Ability to drive Data science explorations holistically, connecting technology, business and responsibility

• Ability to act effectively within multi-disciplinary teams

• Experience from working towards standard software solutions and development environment

• Experience as mentor for data science discipline and towards other stakeholders

• Knowledge of responsible AI frameworks and ethical AI practices.
