You will lead bioinformatic research efforts with multi-omic data sets from clinical trials. This position is based in Santa Monica, CA and reports to a Senior Scientist.
You Will:
- Develop and implement strategies for integrating multi-omic data sets, including genomics and transcriptomics
- Use machine learning and AI methodologies from multi-omic data sets and derive actionable insights
- Develop AI models and algorithms tailored to our specific research needs
- Communicate technical concepts and results through reports, presentations, and collaborative discussions.
- Stay current with advancements in data integration, AI, and bioinformatics to improve analytical approaches.
- Contribute to the development of analytical models of clinical NGS data.
- Refine existing tools and develop novel methodologies for analyzing NGS data.
- Establish data architecture solutions and bioinformatic analysis pipelines
- Work with team members to build code repository and bioinformatic best practices.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Document methodology and analytical findings.
You Have:
- Eight (8) years with BS/BA, or seven (7) years with MS/MA, or a one (1) year with PhD in data science, computational biology, bioengineering, or a related field with relevant post-graduate experience.
- A background in NGS workflows and multi-omic data analysis.
- Expertise in bioinformatic and computational biology tools, programming and developing analytical pipelines.
- Experience with programming language, Python and R.
- Experience with cloud computing and high-performance clusters.
- Understanding of basic statistics and applications to biomedical science.
- Experience with single cell data analysis
- Experience in the field of immune-oncology is a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
- Willingness to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,164 to $168,246. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
