Summary

The Genesys Data & Analytics Team

The Data & Analytics team is a central team comprised of Data Engineering, Data Platform/Technologies, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Product, and Data Governance practices.  This mighty team serves the enterprise that includes sales, finance, marketing, customer success, product and more.  The team serves as a core conduit and partner to operational systems that run the business including Salesforce, Workday and more. 

The Senior Data Analyst is a key member of the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization that enables trusted enterprise data and reporting, analytics, science and AI enablement. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner across departments, translating complex data into actionable insights that influence multiple departments decision making, business strategy, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has deep analytical expertise, a strong business acumen, and a passion for solving complex problems with data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with product owners, data engineers, and internal stakeholders as part of agile scrum teams to prioritize, develop, and refine data solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with data product owners to analyze business requirements, define success metrics, and deliver trusted, high-impact enterprise data products.
  • Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations that adhere to company standards for design, consistency, and data accuracy.
  • Analyze complex enterprise datasets to extract actionable insights that support decision-making across functions such as product, operations, and customer success.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies to ensure alignment and iterative delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Lead and perform ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to identify trends, uncover root causes, and surface data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across analytical outputs, working closely with data engineering on data modeling and ETL design.
  • Innovate and explore applications of AI and machine learning to enhance data products, optimize analytics workflows, and unlock new insights from enterprise data.
  • Document analytical solutions and share best practices to drive data literacy and analytical maturity across the organization.
  • Influence peers and the broader Data & Analytics (D&A) organization on best practices in data analysis, agile delivery, data governance, and visualization standards.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of data analytics tools, standards, and processes. 

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in data analytics or a related role.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise data solutions that drive business value.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools, data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Tableau, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Strong business acumen, relationship building, and superlative communication skills
  • Expertise in data modeling, analytics, and visualization.
  • Strong SQL and Python coding knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment where decisions you make will have a large impact
  • Get-it-done mindset. You’re not afraid to take risks, you’re humble and scrappy!
  • Experience working within an agile scrum framework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the technology sectors including business to business.
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science, data science, etc.
  • Creative, innovative and solution design thinking: You evaluate things holistically and think through the objectives, impacts, best practices, and what will be simple and scalable
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong team player: ability to lead peers in accomplishment of common goals.
