Job Description

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Forensics

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in Data Analytics

The Recruitment Process:

  • TA Interview: This will be a discussion with a member of the Talent Acquisition Team to give you an understanding of our business, our culture & values and more context on the role. It will also allow us the opportunity to get to know you more and ensure OMI can meet your career aspirations.

  • Panel Interview: This will be with 2 members of the Senior Leadership of the Hiring Team and 1 member of the HC Leadership Team.

  • Technical & Psychometric Assessments: These will depend on the role and will sometimes happen concurrently with our Vetting Process & Internal Verification.

This role assists Risk Officers to ensure that risk processes (risk assessment, identification, management, reporting & optimisation) occur at business unit level and is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts. The role focuses on utilizing advanced data analytics techniques to provide analytical services to multiple centers of excellent within the GRCS segment e.g. Forensics, Enterprise Risk Management and Combined Assurance. The key responsibilities include analyzing large, complex datasets to identify potential risks, fraud, compliance breaches, and financial discrepancies.

Apply analytical skills to validate that data used for analytics is comprehensive and fit for purpose, as well as provide data-driven insights derived from the analytics.

  • A self-starter who looks for trends, conducts behavioural analysis and engages with the broader GRCS team to identify additional proactive initiatives.

  • Maximises the use of available tools, including large language models, company systems and associated data to contribute directly to risk analytics, which may include the proactive detection of fraud, business process risks, and reduction of losses.

  • Using large language models to enhance the analysis of unstructured data and identifying trends from a range of different best practices and / or risk journals or industry alerts (e.g. IRMSA, ACFE, ICB, Deloitte’s Executive report and WEF).

  • Analyze large data sets to establish risk trends in respect of key risk indicators.

  • Perform preliminary assessments into exceptions generated by the respective tools and provide insights into findings.

  • Collaborate with CoE’s/GRC BP’s to provide the business with practical solutions to strengthen the control environment.

Continuous improvement to ensure effective service

  • Ensure adherence to organisational policies, practices and procedures.

  • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.

Service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Maintain service, quality and desired outputs across the business process by ensuring compliance to tactical policies, procedures and standards.

  • Establish productive operational relationships with key stakeholders in the various CoEs within the GRCS segment.

  • Develop work routines in line with operational plans / schedules in order to manage achievement of service delivery goals.

Manage quality people practices

  • Align own behaviour with the organisation culture and values.

  • Share and transfer product, process and systems knowledge to colleagues.

  • Collaborate and work with the CoEs with the GRCS segment to deliver required service levels.

  • Actively share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas.
