We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Search and Analytics team as we build cutting-edge search platforms and intelligent data services that power discovery, automation, and insight across the innovation lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of search infrastructure, machine learning, and big data, collaborating with Data Scientists and Engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering
  • 7 years of software engineering experience including a deep understanding of Java sever platform and system tuning
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant ML experience
  • Proven track record in the application of ML/NLP/Search Engine/Big Data

It would be great if you also had . . .

  • Masters degree or PhD
  • Advanced knowledge of ElasticSearch/Solr/Lucene
  • Big Data on cloud computing platforms with technologies such as Hadoop, Hive and Spark.
  • The ability to implement high quality code in an agile software development environment.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Identifies strategic information needs of internal clients and translates these into data requirements to build high performance data stores.
  • Design and implementation of the search infrastructure
  • Works in collaboration with Data Scientists to constantly optimize the performance of the search engine.
  • Explores existing data for insights and recommends additional sources of data for improvements.
  • Works in collaboration with Data Scientists to constantly optimize performance of queries and availability of data.
  • Explores existing data for insights and recommends additional sources of data for improvements.
  • Track, verify, evolving data sources, data flows, tools & storage mechanisms

About the Team

The team comprises 13 globally distributed members, including Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Scientists, dedicated to supporting Intellectual Property products at Clarivate.

Hours of Work

  • Full-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed
  • Hybrid position working 2-3 days/week on-site
  • Must live within a commutable distance to one of our US office locations: Alexandria, VA, Ann Arbor, MI or Philadelphia, PA
