Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration Consultant to join our team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. As a Data Migration Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients with their digital transformation journey by ensuring smooth and accurate data migration processes.
- Design and implement data migration strategies for clients undergoing digital transformation
- Analyse source systems and develop comprehensive data mapping plans
- Create and execute data conversion rules, selections, and controls
- Ensure data integrity and completeness throughout the migration process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data migration with overall project goals
- Develop and maintain documentation for data migration processes and procedures
- Provide expert advice on data migration best practices and potential challenges
- Monitor and report on the progress of data migration projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues as they arise
- Conduct post-migration validation to ensure successful deployment of new systems
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Database Administrator, Data Engineer, or Software Engineer
- Strong affinity for data, data structures, and data mapping
- Proven knowledge and experience with data modelling and relational algebra
- Excellent SQL skills and experience
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python
- Familiarity with Microsoft cloud stack is advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in data migration projects
- Strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Practical problem-solving attitude
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant data migration or database certifications are a plus

- A permanent contract and a gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €6,000 (based on 40 hours per week). The exact amount depends on your experience and the role;
- 8% holiday allowance;
