Envestnet is seeking a Technical Architect – Credit & Analytics Domain to join our Yodlee department.  This is a remote role with occasional travel to our Raleigh, NC office.

Job Summary: 

Envestnet | Data & Analytics (D&A) is seeking an experienced Technical Architect specializing in analytics, finance, and credit solutions. The Technical Architect will lead and define the architecture of sophisticated, scalable solutions that address critical business needs in analytics, finance, and credit domains, leveraging advanced technologies such as Java, Big Data, AWS Cloud, and Generative AI. This role requires deep domain expertise and close collaboration with stakeholders across product, data science, and engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define, lead, and implement architecture for credit, lending, and underwriting applications.
  • Enables and leads the architecture roadmap for the Credit team and aligns it to the Enterprise architecture.
  • Architect cloud-based solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, SageMaker). 
  • Design analytical platforms and manage data pipelines using Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, EMR). 
  • Lead integration of Generative AI capabilities, including LLMs and GenAI-driven applications to enhance customer experiences. 
  • Lead and drive POCs to expedite development using Generative AI.
  • Drive & Participate as a Credit SME in steering committee meetings.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on Java / Python backend development, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and industry best practices. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management standards. 
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and enhance the company's technology stack.
  • Identifies the core capabilities required by Credit domain and participates in driving the inclusion of those capabilities into enterprise architecture.
  • Drives reuse of existing capabilities or enhancing them to accomplish reuse and modernization.
  • Defines Non-function Requirements, Quality & Scale constraints, Risks to manage during development and in production.
  • Collaborates with SRE teams to define deployments for appropriate business objectives
  • Drives adoption of best practices in development and use of latest technologies (incl Generative AI) to accomplish business outcomes and scale.
  • Ensure adherence to Envestnet’s legal, compliance, risk, business continuity, and administrative policies, including timely completion of required training and affirmations.
  • Innovates new possibilities based on product requirements and green field opportunities using capabilities in the enterprise.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.  
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 8 year’s experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a Technical Architect role.
  • Extensive experience in the credit/lending domain (credit scoring, underwriting, compliance, and risk management).
  • Hands-on experience implementing Generative AI technologies (Bedrock APIs, GPT models, LLM fine-tuning).
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
  • Proven track record in architecting solutions leveraging AWS Cloud services.
  • Solid expertise with Big Data stack including Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, and AWS EMR.
  • Experience developing analytical and reporting platforms within financial services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience integrating ML/AI models in credit risk and analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of financial regulatory standards such as FCRA, GLBA, SOC2.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools (AWS Glue, Apache Atlas).
  • Proficiency in Python and related frameworks (Flask, Django, Pandas, NumPy).

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000.
