About the Role:We are seeking a motivated and curious Marketing Intern to support both our marketing and sales enablement teams. This hybrid role is ideal for a senior student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in lead generation, prospect research, and modern marketing tools. You’ll work closely with our team to help generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), support outreach efforts, and learn the day-to-day operations of a marketing department in a technology-driven company.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on target accounts and key prospects to support outbound campaigns
  • Help prequalify leads and assist with light outreach to engage and nurture MQLs
  • Support marketing campaigns, events, and demand generation efforts
  • Learn and work with tools such as CRM systems, email platforms, and marketing automation tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product marketing, and digital
  • Assist with reporting and performance tracking of marketing campaigns
  • Support general marketing activities, including content updates, presentations, and internal communications
  • Learn to articulate the value proposition of CalAmp’s connected solutions to different market segments
  • Support marketing efforts for edge devices and IoT solutions across fleet, logistics, and industrial sectors

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Senior-level student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Communications, or tech related field
  • Strong communication and research skills, with a proactive and strategic approach to outreach
  • Working proficiency with AI and large language model (LLM) tools (e.g., ChatGPT), including the ability to use structured prompts to improve prospect research, outbound messaging, and objection handling
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • General understanding of technology and willingness to quickly learn our products and solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools like Pardot, Salesforce, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
  • Interest in B2B technology marketing or SaaS/hardware-enabled services
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning about IoT, telematics, or asset visibility solutions
  • Must be able to work on-site at the Carlsbad office on a hybrid schedule.
