SUMMARY

Responsible for understanding business processes to drive impact and value through Data and GenAI Analytics (DnA) solutions within the organization. Act as a thought-partner to business leaders within AF Group to translate business problems into businesses cases and solutions. Translates strategies and needs to ensure the DnA Center of Practice (CoP) executes on required projects. Also oversees operations of the DnA CoP, including the DnA governance functions and Agile Execution. Responsible for helping develop and execute on division strategies. Ensure execution excellence through providing strategic leadership including broadly engaging with enterprise partners to develop systems, effective communication, planning and transparency. Direct Management including development and coaching of leaders and team members. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Manage, grow and develop key CoP skills within the team: Data Governance, Agile Execution, Gen AI and Data Analytics.
  2. Accountable for the development and execution of data strategies with the understanding of business strategy, architecture, and technology considerations.
  3. Collaborate, support and uplift technical teams and leaders outside Data and Analytics. Providing opportunities for engagement directly with business consumers and Technology Partners. 
  4. Partners with leadership to prioritize areas for transformation and supports execution of roadmap and projects.
  5. Collaborates with business to prioritize and triage potential solutions while working with other key business partners. Assists and partner with Learning and Development to support business areas in transforming their processes and culture to adopt DnA solutions through consultative support and providing necessary trainings.
  6. Ensures that DnA CoP use cases are identified, prioritized, and executed upon working closely with key business leaders within and outside the DnA CoP. Ensures work aligns with annual and long-term corporate goals.
  7. Oversees DnA CoP operations team responsible for governance and compliance and overall management of area projects and operations. The governance function ensures that common standards and definitions are utilized across the enterprise for all data and analytics work and alignment with AF Groups Responsible AI policy.
  8. Accountable for budget and expenses of functional areas and owned projects and must ensure efficient delivery.
  9. Accountable for execution excellence of team including ensuring all governance, security, compliance policies and standards are followed
  10. Mentor, develop and grow leadership talent

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field is required. Master’s degree or PhD in related field is preferred.
  2. Minimum nine (9) years of related work experience is required.
  3. Previous experience working in the P&C Insurance industry is preferred.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

PAY RANGE:  

Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate’s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $123,300 and $206,600
