Why this job’s a big deal:

Seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building causal systems that support pricing experiments for our business. This role will require expertise in quasi-experimental methods, A/B testing and familiarity with dashboard tools (such as Streamlit) and AWS.

In this role you will get to:

  • Implement and oversee quasi-experimental methods for experiment validation, including Synthetic Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Bayesian Structural Time Series, and causal graphs.

  • Automate data processes and experiment workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, pricing analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the experiments are validated.

  • Develop and maintain Streamlit applications for test design input and dashboard results display.

  • Continuously monitor and improve application performance and data workflows.

  • Ensure robust statistical methods are applied to achieve high-confidence results.

  • Provide technical support for users of the applications and analyses.

Who you are:

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in data science.

  • Strong clean coding skills in Python, with extensive knowledge of quasi-experimental methods and A/B testing.

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or related field.

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts (e.g. reinforcement learning) and tools.

  • Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $100,000k - $125,000k  USD.

Flexible work at Priceline

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
