Business Intelligence Engineer(Tableau, Power BI, and SQL)

Job Summary

Join Synechron as a BI Engineer, where you will design, develop, and deliver visual analytics solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. Your work will span across the bank’s operations, including sales, risk, and customer experience, playing a central role in solving critical business problems. With a focus on driving revenue growth, reducing costs, and mitigating risks, you will employ a solution-oriented approach, impacting business decisions and actions.

Software Requirements

• Required:
  • Expert-level proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Advanced SQL capabilities for writing optimized queries
  • Experience with SSRS for report generation
  • Familiarity with large datasets, particularly Hadoop
• Preferred:
  • Experience using Python for data science and automation
  • Familiarity with GitHub for version control
  • Experience with frontend web development and visualization libraries such as D3.js

Overall Responsibilities

• Design and develop BI use cases that deliver business impact by addressing key challenges like revenue uplift and cost savings.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and stakeholders to create dashboards, visualizations, and datasets using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and SSRS.
• Implement solutions using agile methodology, focusing on rapid prototyping and continuous feedback for iterative development.
• Engage deeply with stakeholders to refine their perspectives, ensuring solutions meet their needs.
• Develop innovative visualization solutions that are easy to deploy across various use cases.
• Contribute to building visualization capabilities by supporting hiring, coaching, and training efforts.

Experience Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of experience with data visualization
• Experience in data & analytics, particularly within the banking domain
• Previous experience in agile working environments is advantageous

Day-to-Day Activities

• Design and implement BI solutions that provide actionable insights to improve business operations.
• Participate in regular meetings with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
• Present prototypes, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and product owners.
• Develop and refine visualization solutions to ensure they meet business needs and are easily deployable.
• Support the development of “citizen” visualization talent across the bank through coaching and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Sciences, or Finance.
• Continuous professional development in data visualization and analytics technologies is expected.
