The Data Scientist Operations is crucial to optimize production processes and productivity through the application of data analytics and data insights to the production environment – solve business problems through data.

He / she will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing predictive models, and implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

The person will work very closely with business operations in order to tell the productivity story through data, and with other IT functions to understand data, application, and infrastructure dependencies.

The person has a strong background in data structures, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and operational technology, and he / she is familiar with OSISoft and Seeq solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with commercial, R&D, and process teams to identify pain points and opportunities using customer journey mapping and process analysis.

• Propose and implement data-driven solutions, using proof of concept and experimentation when needed.

• Analyze complex data sets to uncover trends and generate actionable insights.

• Integrate AI and data solutions into OT systems to enhance automation, decision-making, and compliance.

• Translate business needs into data strategies and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.

• Partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and OEMs to understand and leverage OT and IT data sources.

• Apply Agile principles, ensure standardization, documentation, training, and compliance with data and security standards.

• Stay current on trends in data analytics, visualization, and OT technologies.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in Python, R, SQL; familiar with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D environments.

• Experience with OT infrastructure (e.g., OSIsoft PI, MSSQL, Seeq) and data integration in complex environments.

• Skilled in Agile project management and able to work independently or in teams.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, manage stakeholders, and drive innovation.

• Experience in delivering compliant IT/OT systems in regulated environments.
