Working Student Automation Developer

The Automation team at Nokia specializes in developing tools that streamline the analysis of daily testing results, enhancing the efficiency of testing teams across the organization.

As part of this global, virtual team, you’ll collaborate closely with technical experts from the US, India, Finland, and beyond to deliver high-impact automation solutions. Together, you’ll contribute to the advancement of safer, smarter, and more reliable 5G networks relied on by customers worldwide.

Position: Working Student Automation Developer
Duration: Full-time 8h/day, with the possibility to extend 
Location: Hybrid in Athens, Greece

• Contribute to the planning and estimation of new development tasks, learning how to break down complex problems and communicate effectively within a team
• Gain hands-on experience by collaborating with technical experts to meet project milestones and deliver impactful solutions
• Learn how engineering decisions are made by participating in technical meetings with senior developers and understanding trade-offs in real-world scenarios
• Develop practical skills in monitoring and enhancing automation pipelines, deepening your knowledge of continuous integration and delivery processes

Must have:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Knowledge of Linux OS (Ubuntu, RedHat)
• Hands-on experience with Python, bash or another scripting language
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a distributed team environment

 

Nice to have: 

• Familiarity with 4G and 5G technology, network and protocols
• Working knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery frameworks like Jenkins
• Enjoy working as part of a diverse, fast-growing multinational team
