Manager- Data Warehouse (UAE National Only)

To lead and manage the DWH Team, Having hands on and extensive knowledge about Informatica power center, SQL, UNIX and windows. Having some knowledge on HDFS, HAdoop, python and pyspark

• Leading day-to-day operations of the Data Platform production environment. This includes monitoring system performance, ensuring data loads and ETL processes run successfully, and responding to any production-related incidents or outages.
• Possess both banking domain knowledge and technical expertise, enabling them to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions.
• Designing and architecting technology solutions that meet the specific needs of the banking domain while aligning with the organization's overall technology strategy.
• Building ETL workflows, jobs or scripts or custom scripting languages to automate the data integration process.
• Investigating and resolving Data Platform related issues and incidents. This may involve coordinating with different teams, such as data engineers, DBAs, and business analysts, to identify the root cause and implement appropriate solutions.
• Administration and monitoring the Informatica environment to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance. This involves regularly checking server logs, system resources, and service status to identify and address any issues proactively.
• Managing user accounts, roles, and permissions within the Informatica environment. This includes granting access to appropriate users, setting up user groups, and ensuring data security through access controls.
• Handling changes to the Data Platform production support environment, such as software updates, schema modifications, or data model changes. Ensuring that changes are well-tested and properly documented to minimize the risk of disruptions.
• Ensuring data integrity and quality within the Data Platform team. This involves setting up data validation checks, error handling mechanisms, and conducting regular audits to identify and correct data anomalies.
• Optimizing the Data Platform's performance to meet SLAs and end-user requirements. This may involve fine-tuning SQL queries, optimizing ETL processes, or recommending hardware upgrades as needed.
• Providing support and assistance to end-users, including data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders. Addressing their queries, helping with data access, and troubleshooting any issues they encounter.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation for the Data Platform environment, including data models, ETL processes, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Incident management team to track and report on incidents, their resolutions, and any necessary follow-up actions. 
• Identify, analyze and implement various risks, risk management controls, RCSA and contingency plans on Data Platform to mitigate future risk.. 

Core Skills:

• 8 Years of Total Experience in Data Warehouse, Informatica, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Unix, 
• Hadoop, Hive, Python, Spark will be added advantage
• Strong in writing & tuning the ETL Jobs, DB Programs and Queries, 
• Python, Spark, Hive, Cloudera will be added advantage
• Sound in Data Management Fundamentals and Data Architect, Modelling, Governance.
• Strong Domain Knowledge in Banking/Finance area like understanding of the various processes, products, and services within the banking industry, core functions, regulations, and operational aspects of banking institutions. 
• Hands on knowledge in Hadoop and cloud ecosystem and ETL jobs migration
