Fuel Pricing Analyst

The role

As a Fuel Pricing Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving commercial performance through the execution of data-driven fuel pricing strategies. You will monitor market conditions, analyse competitor and customer behaviour, and work cross-functionally to optimise fuel pricing decisions across 7 Elevens vast retail network. This is a high-impact role requiring attention to detail, strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

· Analyse price movements, competitor pricing, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks

· Monitor performance metrics (volume, profit, margins) and provide insights to key stakeholders

· Develop and maintain statistical models and tools to support strategic and tactical pricing decisions

· Support the deployment of advance analytic technologies, including machine learning engines, automated processes, and reporting.

· Maintain compliance processes to ensure 7 Eleven adheres to the necessary regulatory obligations.

About you

· Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field

· Experience in pricing, analytics, or commercial roles (fuel industry preferred but not essential)

· Strong Excel skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, or data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage

· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities

· Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

· Commercial mindset and a keen interest in market dynamics

· Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

· Available to work a rotating roster which include a weekend shift every 3 weeks.
