About kaiko

In cancer care, treatment decisions can take many days—but patients don’t have that time. One of the reasons for delays? Cancer patients' data is scattered across many places: doctor’s notes, medical imagery, genomics data. At kaiko, we are developing AI foundational models to bring this data together and integrate it into clinical workflows, enabling doctors to make faster, more effective treatments decisions.

We also collaborate closely with the leading Dutch cancer research institute (NKI) on multiple AI research projects and a joint clinical validation initiative. In 2025, we are expanding our partnerships to even more hospitals.

We raised significant long-term funding and have offices in Zurich and Amsterdam. Over the past year, our team has nearly doubled in size, now comprising 70+ people from 25 countries.

About the role

As we gain traction with our product, our next big challenge is getting it into the hands of more clinicians — in a way that really fits their day-to-day workflows. To do that, we need someone who speaks both languages: medicine and technology. That’s where you come in.

As a Doctor who loves tech, you’ll play a critical role in bridging the gap between our technical team and the real-world clinical environment. Working side-by-side with our business and product teams in Switzerland, you’ll help build trust with users, shape proposals, and turn early interest into real-world adoption.

You will be based in our Zurich office and will also spend some time traveling to clients’ locations within Switzerland to pitch them our solution.

Some areas of responsibility

  • You’ll lead conversations with doctors, helping us earn trust and dig deep into what actually matters to them.
  • You’ll be the point of contact for key clients, organize follow-ups and help draft project proposals.
  • You’ll tap into your network, build new contacts, and help us land and expand early client relationships.
  • You’ll help connect clinical workflows to product design, helping make sure what we build fits seamlessly into practice.

About you

  • You’re a trained MD or have deep experience working closely with clinicians. Maybe you worked in a hospital for some years. Maybe you still do. But you’re also the doctor that colleagues came to for “tech stuff.”
  • You might’ve coded a personal project, built something cool with GPT, or played around with FHIR data. Maybe you’ve done a bit of product work on the side or been involved in a healthtech startup before.
  • You speak fluent clinician, but you’re also comfortable in a product meeting, pushing back on vague ideas, or helping turn user pain into product decisions.
  • You’re fluent in German or are about to become fluent-ish fast. Not a hard requirement, but a big plus.

We’re excited to gather a broad range of perspectives in our team, as we believe it will help us build better products to support a broader set of people. If you’re excited about us but don’t fit every single qualification, we still encourage you to apply: we’ve had incredible team members join us who didn’t check every box!
