We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our Systems Solutions Team in Newport Beach, CA.

This role is on-site. You’ll work at our state-of-the-art Newport Beach headquarters.

You will fill a new role that sits on a team of four people in the Enterprise Actuarial Projects department. Your colleagues will include fellow data analysts, automation, and business process improvement professionals.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Perform advanced data analysis to support strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and identify automation opportunities.

  • Lead the design and deployment of automation solutions for repetitive or manual business processes across departments using Appian, Alteryx, Python, AI, and Power Automate.

  • Apply practical experience with AI tools (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex) to enhance analytical capabilities and accelerate current business processes.

  • Work with internal business partners to understand workflows and paint points to implement optimal solutions.

  • Create interactive dashboards for upper management using tools like Tableau and Power BI.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and business users on best practices.


The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer Science, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, business process improvement, or automation (business processes, testing, etc.).

  • Extensive experience with Alteryx, developing complex workflows for automation and data validation.

  • Experience in life insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or actuarial functions and systems.

  • Advanced SQL Programming skills.

  • Experience using Python for automation scripting and data manipulation.

  • Proven ability to identify manual processes and deliver effective, scalable automated solutions.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and practices using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


What makes you stand out:

  • Experience using AI tools such as Amazon Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex, or similar platforms.

  • Experience using RPA tools such as UiPath or Power Automate.

  • Previous personnel management experience and/or an interest in personnel management.

  • Experience creating interactive dashboards for upper management using tools like Tableau and Power BI.

  • Experience working with and building out Appian functionality

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
