Software Engineer- Python + React + Python libraries

About the role

You will have a vital role in developing complex solutions and deploying transformative data products. You will work in a team responsible for building Analytical insights, recommendation engines and boutique algorithms. You will identify new areas to apply data science to improve business performance. What you will do

• Design and implement robust web-based applications and services using technologies such as Python and React.

• Analyze and review business requirements to ensure alignment with technical solutions.

• Engage in architecture and technical design discussions to enhance system scalability and performance.

• Conduct and participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and the creation of technical design specifications.

• Document and review detailed designs to facilitate clear communication and understanding among team members.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in web technologies and distributed systems to continuously improve application design and implementation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and enhancements into existing systems.

• Communicate technical insights and solutions effectively to stakeholders through reports and presentations.

What you will need

Looking for 2-4 years of experience in software programming and/or data warehousing, in an Agile Scrum environment. 

Must have: 

• Strong Experience in developing backend services using Python framework.

• Building web applications using React

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as Spacy, Camelot, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow.

• Knowledge and experience with distributed data stores like Cassandra.

• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git or SVN). 

Who you are: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent experience in the field of software development. 

• A strong, passionate, empathetic engineer who is able to work collaboratively with senior leadership, peers, and project team to deliver solutions on time, within budget, while maintaining high morale.

• Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products  

• Ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery 

• Experience working with a distributed team 

• Strong knowledge of project tracking software like Jira 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
