About the Team

Interested in working with our teams to help build the next generation of enterprise tooling to make the adoption of Workday features as quick and easy as possible for our customers and implementation partners?

Do you want to build an analytics platform that provides customer usage insights for Workday to deliver better, more targeted products and services? Collaborate on developing a ML based feature uptake recommendation engine that enables our customers to improve their value realisation from Workday? Are you excited to bring to bear the power of an extensive dataset from over 9,500 customers and 265 million transactions per year?

In the Deployment and Adoption Platform organization, our mission is to enable customers to seamlessly adopt Workday products and transform their business functions. We design and build a suite of products to help implementers as well as customers configure Workday solutions (HCM, Financials, etc) and load customer data. Our products make Workday solutions easy to discover, deploy and love. As part of the Global Deployment and Adoption product delivery team, you will collaborate with many Workday teams and will help complete Workday's growth strategy to ultimately support our customers' business growth in a constantly evolving world.

About the Role

As an engineer on the Deployment and Adoption Platform team, you will collaboratively build and craft our latest metric frameworks and interactive customer dashboards from the ground up using your expertise in design, coding, algorithms, and complexity analysis. You'll work multi-functional across Workday product pillars and Business Technology. Our team uses a range of technologies, including: AWS, Python, SQL and XO.
 

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and support critical capabilities that will include Adoption Analytics, Adoption Planning, Product Usage Billing and the Product Catalog Application (master product hierarchy).

• Analyse, design, program, debug, and modify software solutions in line with the product roadmap and customer requirements for a "next generation, end to end adoption experience".

• Write and maintain robust, efficient, and extensible code.

• Write reliable unit, integration, and system level tests.

• Take initiative, exhibit creative-thinking, turn ideas into reality, and have a passion for user experience.

• Tackle exciting performance, scalability, and resilience challenges.

• Grow your engineering skills and learn from other team members through pairing, code reviews, mentoring and Hackathons, etc.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years software development experience utilising languages such as Python, Java, SQL.

• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) application development as part of a team structure

• Experience with cloud based software technologies such as AWS, GCP etc

• Exposure to agile development methodologies
   

Other Qualifications

• Familiarity with algorithms and data structures.

• Experience using SQL and databases.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Good grasp of design patterns, coding methodologies and writing unit-testable code.

• Strong dedication to quality throughout the development process with recognition of the importance of testing using testing tools similar to JUnit.

• BS or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
