The Infrastructure Remediation team assists Datadog users in identifying and resolving infrastructure problems. This team owns the entire process, from issue intake to displaying AI-powered remediation steps in the user interface. Currently, their efforts are concentrated on Kubernetes issues to validate the product preview. As an Engineering Manager you will lead and contribute to the team's growth and the expansion of product coverage to other infrastructure types.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, driving their professional growth
  • Collaborate with Product to shape strategic roadmap and have a significant impact on the product and the user experience of fellow engineers who use the product
  • Engage strategically with complex technical problems and work with your team to produce well-defined and actionable plans
  • Be a core contributor and reviewer of code, lead design decisions, and participate in our on-call rotation

 

Who You Are: 

  • A proven leader with the ability to manage team dynamics, set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment
  • You have experience building distributed systems and operating infrastructure with a focus on reliability and fault tolerance
  • You possess a product-mindset and have comfort working with product managers and customers to scope out roadmaps and development plans. Experience doing this with new products is great to have 
  • Experienced in a full stack environment with Go & TypeScript. Kubernetes and containers experience is preferred
  • Experience working with Machine Learning (ML) models, particularly evaluating quality and performance would be preferred
  • You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
