We are looking for a Data Scientist for our Experimentation Team in Berlin.

You will work in a cross-functional central data team that owns our Experimentation Platform, participate in the development of the platform as well as working closely with product analysts and product managers to optimize our product and features through experimentation, research, and data analysis.

You will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, run, analyze, and gather insights from randomized experiments (e.g. A/B tests) using our Statsig platform (70-80% of time initially)
  • Consult on the development of new revenue models (e.g. Customer Lifetime Value, Churn prediction, Upgrade recommendations)
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, tools, and dashboards to improve our experimentation capabilities
  • Provide guidance to analysts on statistical methodology, test design, and using our experimentation platform (Statsig) effectively
  • Promote best practices for experimentation across the organization
  • Conduct research and analyses to directly inform product strategy and roadmap
  • Leverage techniques like meta-analyses, causal inference, and exploring heterogeneous treatment effects to answer key business questions
  • Contribute to insights and findings for our product knowledge base
  • Manage our core metric framework

You have:

  • Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 3+ years experience conducting data science projects, ideally including A/B tests and experimentation related topics
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis, experimental design, and tools like Experimentation Platforms (in-house or third party), Python, SQL, etc.
  • Experience with version control systems and shared code repositories (i.e. Git/Github)
  • Experience with predictive modeling in a business context
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for collaborating cross-functionally to optimize products and experiences
  • Experience guiding more junior data scientists / analysts

Nice to have:

  • Experience with revenue models (e.g. Customer Lifetime Value, Churn prediction, Upgrade recommendations)
