We are seeking a Staff Information Security Engineer, Data Protection to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. As a Staff Information Security Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting our organization’s data.  You will be reporting to the VP, Corporate CISO, working as an individual contributor you will:

  • Evaluate exception requests to technical security policies and maintain compliance standards
  • Develop and manage actionable security procedures and ensure alignment with organizational policies
  • Conduct security risk assessments for systems, applications, and processes, identifying potential threats
  • Monitor systems and logs for suspicious activity and respond to potential security incidents
  • Optimize DLP policies while collaborating with IT teams to improve asset security and ensure alignment with Zscaler integrations and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security, network security, application security, or security operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
  • Expertise in cybersecurity technologies and best practices for SaaS and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders across various teams and locations
  • Strong problem-solving skills in complex risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation; US citizenship required for the role

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Extensive experience with Zscaler's product suite in large-scale IT environments, covering Cyberthreat Protection, Data Protection, Zero Trust Networking, and Risk Management
  • Proficient in programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript), automation tools, and security analytics, supported by CISSP certification in Cybersecurity Management
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders effectively

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$112,000—$160,000 USD
