As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home we protect critical aspects of home function such as plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heater, and interior electrical. Outside the home we provide protection for critical lines (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric and septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary
The Enterprise Architecture team at OHS drives our enterprise strategy and architecture with data-driven decision-making at the core of our success. We aim to democratize data and integrate AI tools to facilitate easier decision-making. The Senior Enterprise Data Architect will play a key role in this journey & will be responsible for designing and implementing OHS's enterprise data engineering strategy. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless data exchange across all our systems, including the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), contact center, and digital platforms. The primary focus will be on data strategy, designing & integration across all OHS systems, supporting business needs, BI/analytics, operational needs, and compliance.
Located at our office in Naperville, our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals and objectives.
- Design data architectures that meet business needs, ensure data is stored securely, and manage data effectively.
- Work with various teams to define data requirements, develop strategies for data modeling, integration, and warehousing, and drive rapid prototyping and design for new projects and analytic initiatives.
- Establish and update data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and develop metrics for quality and consistency reviews of data across the enterprise.
- Assess new technologies and tools to improve data management and analytics, and lead the establishment and documentation of technology direction and standards for data platforms.
- Lead data-related projects and initiatives, offering technical guidance and support, and define and deliver the data strategy roadmap for the enterprise.
- Create and enforce data-related standards and guidelines for the organization, including establishing a Master Data Management program for data aggregation, cleansing, transformation, and validation.
- Work with data analysts and business leaders to convert data into actionable insights.
- Provide support throughout the project cycle to ensure efficient data systems using established standards.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
- Monitor and optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Design the structure and systems that allow the organization to effectively manage and use its data, ensuring it's a valuable asset for decision-making and business operations.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, processes, and standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data architecture practices.
Experience and Qualifications of the Role
- 10+ years in Data & Analytics field.
- Experience in Data Architecture: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including large-scale data environments such as data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh frameworks.
- 8+ years of experience with data modeling, end to end data integrations & data strategy.
- Experience in Data Architecture: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including large-scale data environments such as data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh frameworks.
- Experience with Data warehousing & ETL preferably with Snowflake, AirByte, DBT, prefect.
- Experience with ingesting data from various sources such as Oracle EBS, Salesforce, Digital platforms, various file formats such as JSON & CSV using Python, SQL & industry standard tools.
- Experience with DevOps and Agile SDLC lifecycle.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled toolsets for data management and analytics is a plus.
- Experience with AWS cloud, setting coding standards, code versioning & code reviews.
- Able to learn and maneuver different software systems used to perform daily jobs.
- Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information systems, Data Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- TOGAF or similar certifications in data space is a plus.
We offer a compelling total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits to support your total wellbeing. The base pay range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
