Enterprise Chief Data Architect

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Chief Data Architect, responsible for the definition of our target state data architecture and supporting standards, blueprints, and development patterns, as well as providing solution architecture oversight.

In this role, you will:

• Provide vision and set direction for Wells Fargo's information architecture and data tools and platforms, including definition the conceptual target state, managing development patterns and blueprints, and selecting / governing products
• Develop a data solutions architecture oversight and support function to align key change initiatives to target state data
• Understand and monitor long range data management and information technology capabilities and trends to drive and sustain Wells Fargo to a best-in-class position for data architecture
• Influence and partner with business and technology partners to align on target-state and coordinate plans to optimize delivery outcomes
• Manage resources (individual contributor and manager), both directly and indirectly
• Provide comprehensive consultation to more experienced management regarding business requirements
• Recommend innovations which anticipate the future directions of both business and information technology
• Identify and plan standardization and rationalization initiatives
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of Management experience

Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:

• Experience in Technology Strategic Leadership, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies, including Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure
• 10+ years of experience with data management platforms (data storage, data movement and/or virtualization, BI/reporting, AI or model development, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in information architecture and/or data architecture
• 5+ years of experience in Financial Services industry

Job Expectations:

• Up to 25% travel
