The Regional Data Analyst provides essential data support for agency operations in either the Santa Fe or Gallup service region. This role is responsible for assisting with data acquisition, report generation, and preparation of high-quality summaries and visualizations using InSync, Excel, and BI tools. The analyst works closely with the Practice Management Systems team and collaborates with program directors to support ongoing data needs related to reporting, planning, and operational oversight of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics.

Reports to the Vice President of Community Based Services and the Director of Practice Management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborates with the Director of Practice Management Systems to maintain and improve the agency’s EHR/EMR and other practice management systems, ensuring they align with organizational needs and goals.
· Design compelling, digestible data visualizations for executive leadership, board members, and grant funders.
· Support the design and implementation of system workflows, updates, and integrations with other platforms to improve efficiency and interoperability.
· Assist in the developing and maintain data reporting tools and dashboards or scorecards to track organizational performance, compliance metrics, and other key performance indicators.
· Assist to ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems, supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and grant reporting.
· Assist in to provide training and guidance to front end users on various systems usage, reporting tools, and various workflows.
· Act as an additional resource for troubleshooting system issues and collaborate with the Director of Practice Management Systems, and various internal working groups.
· Work closely with Director of Practice Management Systems to assistant in the assessment of the agencies operational needs and expansion.
· Assist in documenting various workflows related to the Practice Management Systems Department, assist in creating user guides, and developing tools that enhance staff efficiency, understanding, and collaboration with the Department of Practice Management
Systems.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
· Experience with EMR data extraction
· Advanced Excel and Power BI user.
· Build and maintain recurring or ad hoc reports using Excel and BI tools for internal and external use.
· Use of federal, state, and public datasets.
· Create data visuals (charts or graphs) for stakeholders.
· Work with the Director of Practice Management Systems and Data & Systems Coordinator to align reporting deliverables with agency priorities and deadlines.
· Assist in creating clear, organized report templates and dashboards for leadership and program teams.
· Collaborate with regional program teams to gather additional context for narrative summaries or visual aids.
· Track submission deadlines and maintain organized records of submitted materials.
· Support minor troubleshooting of data formatting issues or inconsistencies.
· Contribute to the agency’s data literacy by documenting tools, field mappings, and basic reporting workflows.
· Must pass a criminal background check per state and federal regulations.
· Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver’s License. Must provide and maintain a clean driving record.
· Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
· Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds for files and equipment.
· Ability to travel locally for training, meetings, or site visits as needed.
· The position is primarily remote, with occasional onsite work.
· May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet reporting deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2).
· Extract, clean, and format data exports from InSync and other systems as needed.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization or dashboard tools (Power BI preferred).
· Comfort working with structured data and large spreadsheets.
· Strong attention to detail and data organization.
· Ability to interpret basic trends and communicate findings clearly.
· Experience with EHR reporting or healthcare-related systems such as InSync is a plus.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills.
· Experience with grant reporting and compliance requirements.
· Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python or R) is a plus.
· Familiarity with practice management systems (EHR/EMR) and system integration processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree Preferred
· Minimum 2 years as database support/coordination
· Previous experience in healthcare or nonprofit organizations is a plus.
