Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Intelligence & Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic Intelligent Operations Team and revolutionize the way we manufacture windows and doors. In this role, you will be instrumental in empowering data-driven decision-making by transforming raw data into actionable insights through compelling visualizations and robust analysis. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, collaborate with data engineers to build required data pipelines and utilize your expertise in agile methodologies to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards using tools like Microsoft Power BI or Tableau to provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs), production metrics, and operational efficiency.
Data Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives that translate complex data analysis into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Data Exploration and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of manufacturing data, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to uncover opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
Collaboration with Data Engineering: Partner with data engineers to define data requirements, ensure data quality and integrity, and build data pipelines that support analytics and reporting needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, understand their priorities, and proactively identify and address their data and reporting needs.
Agile Collaboration: Thrive in an agile team environment, actively participating in sprints, backlog grooming, and daily standups to deliver value iteratively and respond to changing business needs.
Technical Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of Python, SQL, and other relevant tools to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources, including Oracle EBS, PLCs, and MES.
Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization, proactively suggesting and implementing improvements to our data-driven processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Proven track record in data analysis and dashboard development, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong experience in working with business stakeholders and collaborating with data engineering teams.
Skills: Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and programming languages (Python, SQL). Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure), data streaming (Kafka), and data transformation tools (Databricks). Strong understanding of agile methodologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for uncovering insights from complex datasets.
Customer Focus: Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering value and meeting the needs of stakeholders.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MES systems and connectivity to manufacturing processes & machines.
- Exposure to industrial automation and robotics.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Oracle EBS.
