We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data & Analytics Intern to support our team with key initiatives involving database structuring, business intelligence reporting, and data governance. This role offers hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Power BI, and Excel, and provides exposure to real-world challenges in data architecture, analytics, and report migration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Help migrate legacy reports from Cognos to the Power BI portal.
- Participate in documenting data governance processes and best practices.
- Create dashboards and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
- Support the creation of documentation and process for managing report access permissions across the organization.
- Assist in building a database hierarchy structure involving insurers and plan sponsors.
- Read and write SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
Qualifications Expected for Position
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Familiarity with report migration or enterprise reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Power BI Service, Tableau).
- Proficiency in SQL (reading and writing queries).
- Basic understanding of data governance concepts and documentation practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and clarity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
