 As a Data Engineering Lead, you'll collaborate with key stakeholders, analyze emerging technologies, and develop strategic roadmaps that drive innovation.
Your expertise will enhance application and development experiences while engineering solutions for Oracle's Enterprise Databases, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and E- Business Suite (EBS).

The Oracle Lead Data Engineer develops database architectures to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability. The candidate will collaborate with development, DevOps, SRE, operational, and security teams to ensure the delivery of high quality, high value database services. 

  • Optimize, and automate our Oracle database services using a combination of technologies and standard engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for technology improvements and innovation.
  • Provide technical direction on team projects, including but not limited to upgrades, disaster recovery, high availability, data integrity, or new features/capabilities.
  • Create and maintain database standards, engineering patterns, and strategy.
  • Complete technology roadmaps and reviews.
  • Familiarity with database security best practices, encryption, and compliance standards.
  • Drive problem definition and resolution on bridge calls with multiple IT and business partners.
  • Solve technical issues and provide technical support to staff as required.
  • Lead technical projects and provide technical direction to meet the internal needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle database technologies, including Oracle Enterprise, Golden Gate, Enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW), Enterprise Business Suite, Exadata, PL/SQL, automation tools, and project leadership.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific compliance and security standards.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SLQ, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with at least one public cloud ecosystem, preferably experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong working knowledge of technologies impacting database solutions including storage, replication, networking, Unix, etc.
  • Expert oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$129,300 - $177,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
