Overview

The Senior Data Product Manager drives the discovery, design, development, and implementation of highly scalable analytic tools including self-serve BI dashboards, AI/ML models, automated reports, and curated datasets.  This role owns the voice of the customer and partners with data engineers, BI developers, data analysts, and data scientists to develop analytic tools that inform decision-making and accelerate growth.  This role also drives the implementation of product management best practices / tools, leads the development of data-driven thought leadership, and mentors junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to integrate data/insights into workflows and decision-making processes.
  • Generate analytic product ideas, evaluate opportunity, and design prototypes to validate customer/market fit.
  • Own the voice of the customer and collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, data analysts, and data scientists to develop highly scalable analytic products.
  • Evaluate use cases to select the most appropriate AI and/or BI solutions.
  • Guide the discovery and development of AI/ML solutions.
  • Drive product marketing, launch, and feedback processes; proactively engage with customers and implement best practices to maximize product adoption and utilization.
  • Lead product road-mapping and strategic planning processes.
  • Guide analytic resources on delivering adhoc analyses requested by customers; identify opportunities to productize / scale analytics.
  • Lead the development of data-driven thought leadership materials that communicate insights to the market.
  • Drive the implementation of product management best practices and tools; mentor junior team members.
  • Conduct adhoc analyses to support client and internal deliverables.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative and/or healthcare-related field, or equivalent professional experience in consulting or other strategic role.
  • 9 years experience in healthcare analytics, consulting, technology, product development, or other relevant role, including 4 years experience developing analytic products.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI/ML and BI solutions to drive measurable business value.
  • Experience working with cross-functional product teams in an agile environment; agile certification and/or other product management certification required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare claims data; knowledge of payment integrity and/or provider revenue cycle preferred.
  • Deep experience translating voice of customer into user personas and user stories; User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) design skills a plus.
  • Experience conducting data analysis using Business Intelligence applications such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Looker, Domo, etc.; technical certifications a plus.
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and JIRA to support product development processes.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $140,000 to $165,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
