Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously! We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants such as Google or IBM, and we are growing fast after securing  €100 million of funding in 2025 to develop our unique technology. Currently 100+ and counting, between physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced business professionals, we are united to reach our ambitious goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us on a mission to reshape the future!
The race to build a stable logical qubit has only just begun. At Alice & Bob, we’re following a unique approach using protected qubits to make error correction faster and more efficient than other platforms. This method blocks bit-flips, so only phase-flips need correcting.Yet, the bit flip error rate currently saturates to about one error every 100 seconds, a value that is thought to be set by the rate of high energy particles impacts on the chip. We believe there is a way of mitigate this limitation. Would you be willing to help us to implement it ?

Responsibilities:

  • learn some of the art of chip design
  • learn how to design and perform an experiment
  • Use advanced data analysis in python
  • simulate the impact of high energy particles on a superconducting qubit - manage a project
  • write reports about the project results and present them

Requirements:

  • 4+ years at university with Physics as a major, preferentiably with advanced quantum mechanics courses
  • Advanced knowledge in python - Advanced knowledge in statistics

Benefits:

  • 1 day off per month
  • Meal Vouchers with Swile
  • 50% Navigo reimbursement

Recruitment process

  • Screening call with the Hiring Manager (30 mins)
  • Technical assessment with different team members (60 mins)
  • Final interview with Talent Acquisition (30 mins)
  • Ref check
