What will you be expected to do?

• Subject matter expert on database technologies such as MS SQL & Oracle, Sybase and Open Source Database (etc. MySQL< PostgreSQL, Maria DB)
• Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level.
• Lead and provide technical advice to junior database administrators.
• Able to front customer.
• Lead and manage database changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
• Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Lead and monitor & measure the performance & availability of databases proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
• Ensure service level meet requirement.  Propose and implement action plan when required.
• Keep abreast of database technologies.

Ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent discipline
• 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in Database administration
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possess initiative with positive working attitudes and customer services oriented;
• Independent and goal-oriented;
• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills;
