Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and generate comprehensive sales reports on a regular basis using Excel. These reports will include essential metrics such as revenue, sales volume, customer trends, and product performance.
  • Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities. Use this analysis to support decision-making processes and make strategic recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Experience in populating metric reports with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring the data is presented in a clear and organized manner.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to assess the current landscape and identify untapped opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies to contribute to our competitive strategy.
  • Create and maintain visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports to monitor sales performance against set targets, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Identify potential sales gaps and propose strategies to bridge them.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of sales data through regular audits and validations. Implement corrective measures to resolve data discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance sales reporting processes to streamline efficiency and effectiveness. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve data visualization.
  • Skilled in working with data from different departments to perform insightful cross-functional analysis, uncovering valuable connections and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in a sales analyst or similar analytical role, showcasing their ability to work with sales data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated strong command of Excel functions, including vlookup, pivot tables, and macros, to manipulate and analyze sales data effectively.
  • Strong project management skills for handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively convey complex data insights to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior concepts will enable the candidate to contextualize sales data and provide deeper insights into customer preferences and trends.
  • Proficiency in database management will facilitate the organization and retrieval of sales data efficiently.
  • Strong data analytics skills will be instrumental in identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities within sales data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Available for occasional travel within the US & Canada
