Microsoft 365 Copilot is a new offering that harnesses the power of generative AI through foundational large language models to usher in a new era of AI-first productivity for hundreds of millions of enterprise users. As a Product Manager in the M365 Copilot Platform team, you will build the next wave of AI & Copilot productivity solutions built using the latest generative AI technology

We are looking for self-driven Product Manager candidates who can operate in a fast-paced environment with high ability to influence without authority, perform rapid exploration, have a high sense of ownership, boundaryless impact and bias for execution.

The ideal candidate must have had experience in developing solutions on AI platform that improve productivity and quality.  The person must be comfortable dealing with the ambiguity, is able to take developer- focused approach to defining goals, driving executive alignment, developing solutions and leading with a technical mindset to work both with internal M365 Copilot platform feature crews and with external developers building on our platform. The person is a hands-on “builder”, believes in a bold vision for generative AI-led transformation, is already an “agent boss” i.e. embraces generative AI and agents in daily life, carries a “learn-it-all” vs a “know-it-all” mindset, is comfortable dealing with the ambiguity that comes with seeing transformative, time-sensitive and ROI -driven engagements with customers aspiring to become Frontier Firms.

In this role, you’ll work with ecosystem partners, engineering teams, and vendors to drive operational excellence for agent publishing and maintenance with developer experience and quality at the core.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead agent quality aligned with product goals and industry best practices to deliver success.
• Manage and resolve developer queries and issues ensuring third party developers can publish high quality agents in an agile manner.
• Communicate and effectively resolve blockers for agent developers
• Partner with engineering to influence roadmap priorities based on developer feedback and telemetry.
• Represent developer needs in product reviews and planning by sharing insights and usage data.
• Collaborate with partner PMs and cross-functional teams to streamline agent validation, app store readiness. Enhance app publisher experience by driving process improvements for Copilot agents store validation.
• Develop tools and AI powered solutions that bring in efficiency in operations.
• Leverage best practices, systems, and tools to manage operational escalations from stakeholders and developers.
• Partner with globally distributed teams to release tools that enable developers to easily identify quality issues prior to agent submission.
• Define processes and build tools to maintain quality of agents on Agent Center.
• Contribute to the overall product strategy and roadmap.
• Utilize reports to track publishing process and store metrics, align stakeholders through regular updates, and adjust your execution plan
• Drive key product insights and developer experience signals coming straight from the market to shape the future of the M365 Copilot and our AI extensibility stack inside Microsoft Copilot app, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft365.com and other host products
• Bring voice of developer back to platform feature engineering and help drive backlog prioritization, envisioning and spec’ing of new, innovative extensibility features, informed by market feedback
• Work with strategic customers to understand feedback on what makes high quality agents for enhancing the value and user experience
• Self-organized, strong project management, growth hacking, leadership and cross-group collaboration skills
• Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous, highly autonomous and rapidly changing, new domain with evolving product, technology and customer maturity
• Ability to hold technical discussions, go deep in technical areas, when required especially in domains of generative AI, LLM technology

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience
• Previous experience with proven success in working on commercial SaaS external partnerships and/or customer-facing engagements
• Previous experience working with web and mobile technologies, cloud services architecture and operations on a scale, or other highly technical areas
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API, Semantic Index, and grounding techniques.
• Experience with REST APIs, SDKs (Node.js, Python, C#), and prompt engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of AI orchestration, plugin invocation flows, and Azure OpenAPI or any other AI Model.
• Proven ability to simplify complex developer workflows and build empathy-driven solutions.
• Skilled in collecting, synthesizing, and presenting developer feedback to influence product and doc roadmaps.
• Demonstrated ability to critique user experience, software, and app interface design.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail combined with an ability to derive insights from available data.
• Strong executive presence and ability to think analytically and creatively on your feet
• The ability to wear many hats and speak many language – from business to product to design to technical – learn quickly and change direction when needed
• The ability to think creatively and critically about product features and user scenarios in the enterprise space
• Demonstrated ability of very strong product thinking and a growth mindset
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate, critique, and recommend improvements on software user experiences and interface design
• Strong project management, growth hacking, leadership and cross-group collaboration skills
• Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous, highly autonomous and rapidly changing startup environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically on the feet
• Proven ability to build data-driven product experiences, define metrics and use analytics to derive insights to arrive at product & growth decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of product development experience with proven success in working with developer partners & customers.
• Experience in product/program management experience with proven success in working with partners.
• Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing startup environment.
• Recent experience driving generative AI-based solutions (RAG, GPT, LLM) and general awareness of the rapidly evolving AI, especially generative AI landscape
• Hands-on experience or solid familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack is preferred (M365 Copilot extensibility, AI agents, Azure OpenAI, Graph Connectors, Microsoft Teams extensibility platform, etc.)
• Recent experience driving generative AI-based solutions (RAG, GPT, LLM) and general awareness of the rapidly-evolving AI, especially generative AI landscape
• Hands-on expertise with AI agents as a “builder” using low-code/no-code or pro-code tools or tech stacks
