We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Quantitative Trading Analyst to join our Buy-Side Trading Solutions group. This role is located in Boston, MA or New York, NY - HYBRID. 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:  

  • Independently work with internal and external trading and market data sets and client reference data and manage the full lifecycle of data acquisition, transformation, analysis and reporting.
  • With minimal guidance, support assigned areas with advanced, complex statistical and quantitative analyses, interpret findings, prepare standard and ad-hoc reports and deliver results to management and other leaders.
  • Provide analytical project management support for assigned area.
  • Contribute to the development of techniques and methodologies for various analyses, and lead data modeling and quantitative analysis projects, serving as a resource to less experienced colleagues.
  • Produce and maintain regular commission reports, prepare soft dollar activity reconciliations, and monitor client-directed commission activities.
  • Continuously review, update, and consolidate existing activity reports and dashboards to reflect current needs, convey relevant insights, and limit unnecessary redundancy.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions, including but not limited to Trading, Sales, Client Services, Compliance, etc., to define, design, and implement analytics and reporting solutions. 
  • Support and participate in other quantitative analysis efforts on the desk.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, economics, engineering, or other quantitative disciplines.
  • Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and microstructure.
  • Ability to think creatively and independently while working in a collaborative environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communications and presentation skills. 
  • 5+ years of experience in a quantitative/analyst role in financial industry.
  • Programming skills required, with Python as the preferred language.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $97,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
