POSITION OVERVIEW

HUB International is seeking an experienced National Director, Clinical Informatics to lead our enterprise data analytics strategy and execution. This senior leadership role within HUB’s Clinical Informatics Division will be responsible for transforming our data capabilities, implementing advanced analytics solutions, and driving data-informed decision making across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with insurance brokerage industry knowledge to deliver actionable insights that drive business growth and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute HUB International's enterprise data analytics strategy and roadmap
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our Snowflake Data Lake environment
  • Drive the advancement of our data analytics capabilities including dashboarding, reporting, and predictive analytics
  • Partner with business leaders to identify high-value analytics use cases and deliver impactful solutions
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts
  • Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and security
  • Implement machine learning models to enhance risk assessment, pricing, and customer segmentation
  • Develop automated data pipelines and workflows to improve operational efficiency
  • Create and maintain documentation for data models, ETL processes, and analytics solutions
  • Stay current with emerging analytics technologies and methodologies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Advanced degree or specialized certification in Data Science acceptable with other bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics roles, with at least 3+ years in leadership positions
  • Demonstrated experience in the insurance brokerage industry
  • Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake Data Lake management and architecture
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning
  • Advanced SQL skills for complex query development and optimization
  • Proficiency with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated measures and columns
  • Extensive experience with PowerBI dashboard development and administration
  • Proven track record implementing automation solutions for data workflows
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing large-scale data models and queries
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools beyond PowerBI (Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Property & Casualty and/or Employee Benefits knowledge
  • Understanding of insurance industry data standards and regulatory requirements

LOCATION & TRAVEL

Location: Remote

Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required to visit HUB offices and attend industry events.

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000  and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
