The Role

We recognize Data as a critical strategic driver to fuel our growth aspiration. We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst with Data Governance experience to help us deliver our Data Governance objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task at various levels within the business, across platforms and business areas, and be comfortable with both business and technical environments.

This is a 18-Month Fixed Term Contract role.

The Business Analyst Data Governance will collaborate with various business and technology teams to define the critical data requirements, data ownership, data access controls, and implement processes and solutions to improve data management and governance.

  • Engage with Data Owners, Technology, and SMEs to identify and document critical data requirements 
  • Examine data processes across the business to identify opportunities for streamlining and improving efficiency and data quality by aligning data sources, processes and technologies.
  • Identify and define business rules, as well as functional and non-functional requirements, to support the management and governance of data
  • Contribute and help facilitate the running of Data Governance Forum
  • Assist in implementing Data Governance solutions, including requirements clarification, business and technical design, testing and roll out

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Data Governance, Data Catalogue, Data Quality and Data Lineage methodologies and tools (Purview preferred)
  • Experience as Business Analyst in Financial services / Asset management or similar industry
  • Must have previous experience of analysing and documenting business processes, with the ability to investigate, review, visualise and articulate, and solve problems
  • Good understanding of technologies (preferably MS Office, Azure, Power Platform and PowerBI), data analysis techniques and comfortable with diving into technology details and analysing data
  • Flexibility in approach and end product to adapt to the needs of the Business and Technology teams
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate with business and technology teams to drive results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the investments or financial services industry.
  • Relevant data governance certifications (e.g., DAMA CDMP, DCAM).
  • Understanding of Master Data Management and reference data.
  • Experience with risk management practices and data quality management.
