At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Provide expert support in Data Science processes to the local IT team.
  • Apply data engineering practices and tools to develop and maintain data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and archiving.
  • Automate the collection, cleaning, transformation, and storage of diverse datasets.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing values.
  • Select appropriate data sources and prepare datasets for use in data science models.
  • Apply existing data science methods to new challenges and datasets using specialized programming techniques.
  • Develop AI-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and speed of data pipelines and archival processes.
  • Design, code, test, document, and update moderately complex programs and scripts.
  • Apply recognized standards and tools to ensure high-quality engineering results.
  • Perform application testing via provisioning processes.
  • Contribute to technical reports, technology roadmaps, and share insights and best practices with the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of models, and develop dashboards to visualize data pipelines and model effectiveness.
  • Create and manage virtual machines, including user setup, firewall configurations, and resource management (hardware/software).

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Bachelor Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Data Engineering and Network/System Administration.
  • Proficient in scripting (PowerShell), including automation of Azure resource provisioning and updates.
  • Hands-on experience in creating and managing virtual machines, snapshots, DRS, and host clustering.
  • Experience with VMware Horizon, including customization of gold images per Microsoft best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware Horizon components such as Linked Clones, Instant Clones, and ThinApp.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Anaconda and Python, including experience with the Dagster library (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Broad understanding of IT domains including Cloud Computing and IT Infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level.
