Overall Purpose

Be part of the team that works closely across multiple business and IT teams to identify, measure, monitor, and control risk by implementing an effective risk management program. This role is designed to ensure effective model and data governance practices are in place, and to establish a risk-aware culture across the organization. This position typically will be for a 8-week period and will work under the direct supervision of a department manager or designee.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in analyzing and reviewing data quality issues.
  • Support in the development of Data/Model Risk Management related process documentation.
  • Maintain tracking in MS Office tools.
  • Contribute to the development of model risk training and awareness materials
  • Support business-line leadership in managing and reporting its related risks; provide reports and explanations for use in Business Reviews, Audit or Committee meetings
  • Assist in performing risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) for the Data Risk Governance team
  • Assist in performing internal control effectiveness test plans and procedures
  • Perform process improvement/automation for existing processes
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • On track to successful completion of education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Expertise in documenting end-to-end Process Map, Risks, and Controls.
  • Effective analytical and decision-making skills to determine best solutions for situation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Proficiency with commonly used Office software and personal computers may be necessary, depending on assignment.
  • Must be able to communicate with various levels of employees within the department.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be US Citizen or US National only.
  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Risk Management highly preferred
  • Understanding of data management principals preferred
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment.  Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours.  Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching.  Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.  Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.  Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
