As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in solving complex business challenges through advanced machine learning solutions. Your expertise in developing, deploying, and optimizing ML models will directly impact key areas like forecasting, optimization, and recommendation systems, driving data-informed decision-making. Collaborating closely with diverse teams, you will transform data into actionable insights, ensuring that model outcomes are both impactful and sustainable. Your strategic mindset and technical proficiency will empower you to select the most effective ML frameworks and tools, balancing cost-efficiency and performance in a dynamic business environment.

Your tasks in a nutshell:

• Machine Learning Development: You develop, train, and deploy machine learning models to address critical business needs in Marketing & Sales, including forecasting, optimization, classification, and recommender systems.

• Model Monitoring & Optimization: You monitor model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement retraining strategies to maintain accuracy and performance over time.

• Data Management: You collect, preprocess, and analyze complex datasets, optimizing data pipelines for scalability and efficiency in cloud-based production environments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with Data & Analytics and Business teams to align machine learning solutions with strategic goals, effectively communicating model insights and documenting key findings to ensure transparency and facilitate decision-making.

• Continuous Learning: You stay updated on AI advancements and ensure that models comply with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

What helps you to fulfil this role:

• Education & Experience: You hold a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or have relevant experience in the data field. You bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining machine learning models for business use cases such as forecasting, optimization, or classification.

• Technical Skills: You are proficient in Python and experienced with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn. You are familiar with cloud platforms, ideally Azure and Databricks, and have worked with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes as well as MLOps tools.

• Language Skills: You effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in both written and spoken English.
