We are seeking a highly skilled Axiom Systems BI Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in integrating and analyzing healthcare data from Epic Systems into our Axiom BI platform. As a BI Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) Epic data into Axiom BI to support data-driven decision-making, reporting, and operational insights across our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data transfer and provide actionable insights through advanced data visualization and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Integration & ETL:
    • Extract data from Epic Systems using ETL tools and transform it to match the structure required by Axiom BI.
    • Work with Epic interfaces (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle, Epic Chronicles) to facilitate data extraction.
    • Develop and maintain data pipelines to automate the movement of Epic data into Axiom BI, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting & Analysis:
    • Use Axiom BI to create intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations based on Epic data to support clinical, operational, and financial decision-making.
    • Provide insights into healthcare trends, patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance through data analysis.
    • Support departments such as Clinical Operations, Finance, and IT by delivering ad-hoc reports and regular updates on key metrics.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with the IT department, Epic technical teams, and business users to define data requirements, identify key metrics, and ensure the integrity of the data.
    • Work closely with healthcare professionals and business stakeholders to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights.
    • Provide support and training to users on how to interpret and leverage Axiom BI reports and dashboards.
  • Data Quality & Governance:
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness when moving data from Epic to Axiom BI.
    • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies, perform data validation, and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA).
    • Establish and maintain documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and reporting processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Proactively identify opportunities for improving BI processes and data flows between Epic and Axiom.
    • Stay updated with new features and capabilities in both Axiom BI and Epic Systems to ensure the team is leveraging the best tools and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
    • Certifications in Epic Systems (e.g., Epic Clarity, Caboodle) and/or business intelligence tools (e.g., Axiom BI, Tableau, Power BI) are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or healthcare analytics.
    • Hands-on experience with Epic Systems (preferably Epic Clarity, Epic Chronicles, or Caboodle) and familiarity with the Epic data model.
    • Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data integration between healthcare systems.
    • Experience working with Axiom BI or similar BI platforms for reporting and data visualization is highly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare data, including clinical, operational, and financial data in a healthcare environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
    • Knowledge of Axiom BI platform, including report development, data modeling, and dashboard creation.
    • Understanding of Epic Systems' data architecture and interfaces.
    • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data integration and reporting issues.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
