The Opportunity
“Join our dynamic and growing Cybersecurity team with a world-class analytics company. FICO’s solutions support smarter fraud, risk, marketing, and customer management decisions for thousands of businesses worldwide. You will lead the design, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge security technologies, with a strong emphasis on scripting, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD integration. As a key member of the team, you will drive the automation of boundary protection controls such as WAF, Web Proxy, and Email Security and promoting “Security as Code” culture across the organization. This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep cybersecurity expertise, strong Python development skills, and a flare of building scalable, automated solutions.” - Cyber Security-Sr Manager.
What You’ll Contribute
- Serve as a technical lead for the engineering and automation of boundary security controls including WAF, CDN, Bot Protection, Layer 7 DDoS, Web Proxy, and Zero Trust Access solutions.
- Desing and implement fully automated workflows for deploying, managing, and monitoring security infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps methodologies.
- Leverage tools like Crossplane and Terraform to provision and manage cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure.
- Build robust automation pipelines using Python, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD frameworks to reduce manual intervention and increase operational agility.
- Engineer scalable security architectures on AWS, integrating security tools directly into development lifecycles via GitHub and CI/CD platforms.
- Drive adoption of “Security as Code” across the enterprise – developing reusable security modules and playbooks for deployment automation.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Application Security teams to ensure boundary protection is embedded into every layer of the software delivery lifecycle.
What We’re Seeking
- Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or DevSecOps, with deep focus on security automation and scripting.
- Highly proficient in Python or other (Typescript, Shell, Java, etc), with strong experience building automation tools, APIs, and CLI utilities for managing security infrastructure.
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Jenkins, Crossplane, ArgoCD or Terraform.
- Strong working knowledge of GitHub, including GitHub Actions, GitOps workflows, and repository-based configuration management.
- Demonstrated experience automating deployment and configuration of security controls across cloud environments (AWS experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of networking and application security principles including WAF, TLS, DDoS protection, and security proxies.
- Experience embedding security controls into modern CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub and ArgoCD (or Jenkins).
- Automation-first mindset with a proven track record of scripting, configuration management, and self-service tooling.
- Hands-on experience installing, operating, and maintaining security technologies such as IPS/IDS, Web Proxies, NSX-T, Palo Alto Firewalls, Zero Trust Network Access, Email Security Gateways, WAFs,, and Data Encryption solutions.
- Experience in container security and orchestrators.
- Exposure to Zero Trust Network Access models and boundary security architectures. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Info Security, or related field or relevant work experience.
- Desired hands on experience on Network security and cloud security domains.
- CISSP, CISM, or another similar info security/IT certification is desired or the willing to pursue CISSP or CISM.
- On-Call Duties every month and a half.
