QA Data Analyst

Summary of Position :

The role provides support to Alcon’s matrix organization through business process analysis, develop-ment of Tableau dashboards and Cognos reports, system support, and trending/metrics development. The role ensures activities conducted for Alcon comply with all regulations, guidelines, directives, and standards established by the relevant regulatory agencies.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Data Analyst

Major Accountabilities:

Convert data into meaningful information that drives profitable business actions.

· Master the following areas: Measurement / KPI (Key Performance Indicators), Identify and set benchmarks for varied processes, market trends and spot business problems that need to be addressed, data visualization that enhances the data quality and thereby the quality of decision making.

· Collaborate with Quality Management to develop a robust program to track internal processes.

· Support continuous improvement by identifying process/data gaps, redundancies, and inaccu-racies and managing development of high value/innovative changes using Six Sigma/Agile pro-cesses.

· Develop and generate accurate and effective data outputs from AWS Cloud (Cognos reports and Tableau dashboards).

· Review and monitor data across functional areas to ensure consistency and application of data standards and data quality.

· Liaison between the Business and IT, and other Alcon departments (Sales, Customer Service, R&D, Marketing, Technical Services, etc.)

· Develop and implement governance procedures and support documentation for Digital Quality and Regulatory Affairs.

· Provide tools for Quality Management to oversee and maintain business process implementa-tion.

· Provide data support for Quality and Regulatory Affairs processes: CAPA, Audit, Escalation, Change Control, Training, Supplier Quality, Complaint Handling, Customer Oriented Device Programs, Medical Information, Metrics, Product Submissions, Product Registration, Process Tracking/Monitoring and other business support globally, including regional and affiliate levels.

· Provide systems support to all functions during internal and external audits, as needed, global-ly.

· Provide guidance to Quality personnel, as required, to identify, avert and/or resolve technical problems.

· Provide direction and guidance regarding the impacts of data standards and data quality.
