Data Engineer

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Data Engineers to support the National Background Investigative Service (NBIS). The Data Engineers will assist to build and maintain the data pipelines and infrastructure that power our insights-driven solutions. This individual will play a crucial role in collecting, transforming, and storing data from diverse sources, ensuring its quality, accessibility, and reliability for analysis and decision-making. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to expand their expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies within a dynamic team delivering impactful solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical expertise in all deliverables including to system requirements, Solution Engineering, and System Design Documentation.
• Study complex IT organizations to generate and track requirements across the lifecycle of an organization through road maps, project plans, and collaboration technologies.
• Lead solution engineering, analysis of alternatives, and system design, including database design.
• Discover and report discrepancies between the enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and the system designs, and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Communicate across customer management infrastructure and other stakeholders to educate end users and decision makers on the importance of software development lifecycle documentation and rationale.

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks including Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask), JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Vue, Svelte, React), and Java (Spring Boot)
• Experience developing AWS cloud solutions with a specific focus on data services such as S3, RDS, and EMR
• 12 years of experience minimum of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship required with an active Secret clearance or interim Secret clearance.

The estimated salary range is $170,000.00 - $215,000.00, commensurate on experience, technical expertise, certifications, and clearance level.

Primary work location is the Washington DC Metro area.
