About Woven by ToyotaWoven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.
Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.
=========================================================================
TEAMThe robotics team develops robotic technologies that will be key for realizing the “Mobility of Goods” in the home, and testing the integrated systems at Woven City. We are not a research team but rather a team for developing future key technologies for innovative home robot systems. Therefore we focus on technologies that can be applied to real world problems, and we are trying to evaluate those technologies as part of an integrated robotic system. We have close interaction with Woven’s logistics robot software group and the robotics groups in TRI (Toyota Research Institute).
You will report to the Robotics function manager and this role's workplace type is hybrid.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Our team works with various types of robot platforms both off-the-shelf and ones developed within Woven. We’re constantly exploring new applications for these robots, to inspire inventors and to make Woven City a vibrant test ground for new forms of mobility. As such, we are looking for talented engineers to help us maintain a solid software foundation for our robots so that we can rapidly apply them to new applications - taking advantage of the latest developments in robot learning and computer vision. We’re a democratic and open-minded team so we value engineers with an ambitious vision for the future of robotics - as well as the technical skills to make it a reality.
