We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performing data solutions using modern cloud-based technologies. A deep understanding of Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), ETL processes, and Power BI is essential. This role will be pivotal in shaping our data architecture strategy, ensuring efficient data integration, governance, and accessibility across business units.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture & Design:
    Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures on Azure Cloud, with a focus on modern data warehousing, data lakes, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Azure Data Services:
    Architect and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL. Ensure optimal performance, cost efficiency, and scalability of data solutions.
  • Databricks & Big Data:
    Leverage Azure Databricks to build and orchestrate big data pipelines, support machine learning workflows, and process large-scale data efficiently.
  • ETL Development & Optimization:
    Design, develop, and manage complex ETL workflows to ingest, transform, and load structured and unstructured data. Optimize data movement, cleansing, transformation, and aggregation processes.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting:
    Collaborate with BI teams to deliver insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI. Ensure consistency and availability of high-quality data for analytics and reporting needs.
  • Data Governance & Security:
    Implement best practices in data governance, including metadata management, data lineage, cataloging, and access controls. Ensure compliance with data privacy standards and corporate policies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in data engineering or architecture, with at least 5 years in cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing ETL processes using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, SQL, or Scala.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD for data pipelines, and data quality frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data catalog tools and data governance platforms (e.g., Purview, Collibra).
