Job Purpose

Are you ready to shape the future of data management and drive transformational change? We are looking for a passionate and visionary Data Management Professional. In this role, you will be at the forefront of setting our data strategy, defining impactful work and epics, crafting compelling business cases, and driving adoption to unlock unparalleled business value. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in data management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business and technology.

Key Accountabilities

  • Data Strategy Development:
    • Partner with senior leadership to create and implement a data strategy that propels our organization to new heights.
    • Identify and harness key data assets, establishing robust data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
    • Develop and champion data management policies, standards, and best practices that set the industry benchmark.
  • · Work and Epics Definition:
    • Define and prioritize transformational work and epics that align with our ambitious data strategy.
    • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and technical teams to translate visionary business requirements into actionable data initiatives.
    • Drive seamless execution of data-related projects.
  •  Business Case Development:
    • Develop compelling and persuasive business cases for data initiatives, showcasing the expected benefits, costs, and return on investment.
    • Conduct in-depth analyses to support strategic decision-making and secure enthusiastic buy-in from stakeholders.
    • Present business cases to senior leadership and key stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
  • Driving Adoption and Business Value:
    • Lead the charge in driving the adoption of innovative data management practices and tools across the organization.
    • Collaborate with business units to uncover opportunities for leveraging data to drive exceptional business value and enhance decision-making.
    • Monitor and measure the impact of data initiatives, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress and transformative outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in data, business, technology, or engineering preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven experience in data management, data strategy development, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data management and master data management.
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • Experience with data management software like Power BI and snowflake preferred

Salary: $122,000 - $143,000

 

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
