We are now looking for a Stockholm-based Data Analyst to join the Content Data team, embedded within the Text Experience product area. This area is responsible for the full spectrum of text-based experiences across Schibsted’s news destinations – from articles, comments, and reading behavior to AI-powered features like chatbots.
In this role, you will help uncover how users engage with text content—bringing insights to editors, journalists, and product teams to improve both experience and performance. You will be the go-to data partner for driving engagement through structured feedback loops, experimentation, and continuous analysis.
What will you do in this role?
You’ll play a critical role in shaping how we track, interpret, and act on user engagement for articles across our brands. Specifically, you will:
- Analyze user behavior on text content, focusing on metrics such as scroll depth, read time, comments, and reactions.
- Design and maintain dashboards that monitor article engagement across entry points and formats.
- Partner closely with editors and product teams to provide real-time insights into what content resonates with audiences.
- Support experimentation and A/B testing of new storytelling features (e.g., infinite scroll, related article modules).
- Track and compare performance across traffic sources such as SEO, social media, and front-page referrals.
- Act as a data champion for optimizing text content engagement and performance - balancing editorial freedom with measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to a shared understanding of key engagement metrics and promote data literacy across the editorial domain.
What we’re looking for:
You bring a strong analytical mindset, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. More specifically, you have:
- Solid experience working with SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau or Amplitude.
- A good understanding of content engagement metrics and user behavior in digital products.
- Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis.
- A clear and compelling communication style - able to translate complex data findings to non-technical audiences, including journalists.
- Experience working in media, content, or digital product environments is a plus.
- Competence in Python or R is a plus
