Team Lead, Software Engineering in Test

Position Summary: The Senior Manager Software Engineering, for the Klocwork team at Perforce is searching for a Principal Software Engineer in Test to join the team. 
We are looking for an individual who is a proven problem solver and is able to increase product quality by writing great automation frameworks, extensive test plans and guiding teammates to do the same. Our automation test system covers the many tools we in our static analysis suite needed to integrate with our customer’s varying software development workflows: IDE plugins, Web Portal, Web-API, command line tools and more, primarily using Selenium and Python.

Responsibilities:

• Write automation tests in various development languages to validate software functionality and identify errors/non-compliance.
• Create and monitor test automation statistics to ensure accountability of automation results.
• Mentor and lead test automation team members to do their best work and continuously improve.
• Monitor and complete in-depth analysis of test data to identify incorrect tool behaviour and causes.
• Develop and execute automated test plans and cases for new or modified features.
• Develop and manage Jenkins pipelines for consistent, automated testing across multiple platforms.
• Establish and maintain testing environments, including containerization technologies.
• Drive improvements in our quality processes.
• Participate in code and documentation reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software test automation, with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in both software development and testing.
• Strong proficiency developing in Python and automation frameworks, tools and environments (e.g. Selenium, PYUnit, Jenkins, TestLink).
• Extensive, hands-on DevOps experience (e.g. writing and maintaining Jenkins servers and jobs, creating and deploying containerized systems, general system administration).
• Extensive knowledge of software quality and testing methodologies. Experience writing cross-platform automation tests.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Hands-on experience working in Operating Systems such as Linux, and Windows
• Practical experience with static analysis tools.
